You might be wondering, what could all of these food items possibly have in common? I'll tell you. They were all consumed last Sunday during sacrament meeting (11:30-12:40) by our starving children. We're sitting in the chapel trying to be reverent while Noah and Gabe beg for more and more food. And it's not like their discreet about it either. Noah stands up so everyone can see and starts mowing through a piece of bread. That must have made him thirsty, because pretty soon he was guzzling from a bottle of water (Have you ever read the book--"If you give a mouse a cookie?"). Meghan thinks bringing the water bottle is less disruptive than leaving the meeting to get a drink; I have my doubts. Then Gabe starts chomping on some trail mix (he loves it all, raisins, cashews, almonds, peanuts, and M&M's, and you can tell). And the whole time Sadie is snacking on some bread and a string cheese. I finally turned to Meghan and said, "Can I get a double cheeseburger and a medium drink?" It may have been a miss (see Noah's b-day post) but we had a good chuckle.

I want to sit next to you guys--whatever it takes to get the kids through the meeting. I think I'll go get me a snack....miss you guys!
That is so funny! I can picture your boys right now shoveing food in their mouths and it is making me laugh. I always have a ton of snacks in my bag where ever we go too. The sad part is that Roger is always right with Nelson eating all the snacks!
I have to agree with Meg on the water bottle...I take one to sacrament every week for Ethan (along with the cereal, crackers, toys, books, crayons, etc.) and it keeps him seated. Sometimes I throw in a few items for myself! :)
Yes, we too have had our picnic in church. I would be lying if I didn't take partial credit for the snacking. I can't make it through sacrament without treats in my purse. I put whatever treat I might be craving on Saturday's grocery list so it will be waiting come sacrament time. (sometimes I tell the kids the treats are gone so there is more for me :) Do you think Heavenly Father will question why I needed to plan out my sacrament snack?
