Trouble for the Jazz?

I have a sick feeling about the Jazz today.  I'm beginning to worry that after jumping out to a 3-1 lead in the series, they are going to lose to the Rockets in seven games.  They seem to be going through the motions, Boozer is nonexistent, they are getting little to no help off the bench, and no one seems to want to take it strong to the basket.

Boozer is particularly frustrating.  Where has he gone?  I don't think I have ever seen him look so intimidated and afraid to take it to the hole.  Even more aggravating is his cavalier attitude about the whole thing.  He says that "he doesn't sleep well when he doesn't play well," but if that were the case he would be a walking zombie by now.  How many sleepless nights since game 2?  You have to credit the Rockets for sticking with it, and I don't know if the Jazz have the mental toughness to close this baby out.

If they lose game six, this series is all but over.  And, although I am comforted by the fact that they are playing at the ESA, they have struggled to put Houston away in that building, and are only 2-2 against Houston at home.  That makes their 38-5 home record less comforting.  I don't know if I can watch game six; maybe I'll just check the score at halftime to see if it's worth it.

Alan, I feel your pain. I couldn't sleep last night because my Phoenix suns got ousted once again by those pesky Spurs. We're rooting for the jazz now though - hopefully they pull off game 6.

Hey Al I will not be watching the game either for the same exact reasons. I second your comments that you made and I have come to the reasoning that it won't matter anyway we can't beat the Lakers.

You know that I'm an "eternal optimist" when it comes to the Jazz--but even I think they will be starting their summer vacation on Sunday afternoon. Don't torture yourself by watching the game---I don't care what you do just stay away from the TV, laptop, etc. Record the game and if they win then watch it--much more relaxing that way.

Glad to see you've stepped out of the stone age and created a blog!

But I can't believe the pessimism that is flowing so freely. The Jazz will win tonight, and we will steal one of the first two at LA. Watch it. Love it. Live it.
